Privacy Policy

We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. Here's exactly how RemindMe Pro handles your data — spoiler: we barely touch it.

Last updated: March 1, 2025

TL;DR: RemindMe Pro does not store any of your personal data on its servers. Your events are saved in your own browser and your own Google Calendar. Emails are sent via your own Gmail. We have no database of users.

1. Who we are

RemindMe Pro ("we", "our", "us") is a web application that helps users track expiry dates and receive automated email reminders. Our website is located at remindmepro.app.

For privacy-related questions, contact us at: privacy@remindmepro.app

2. What data we collect

We collect no personal data on our servers. Here is what happens technically:

3. Google OAuth and permissions

RemindMe Pro uses Google OAuth 2.0 to authenticate users. During sign-in, you grant the following permissions:

Your access token (the credential Google issues after you sign in) is stored only in your browser's memory (not in localStorage, cookies, or anywhere persistent) and is lost when you close the browser tab.

You can revoke these permissions at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Cookies

RemindMe Pro does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. The only browser storage we use is localStorage to persist your event list between sessions. This data never leaves your device.

See our Cookie Policy for full details.

5. Third-party services

RemindMe Pro integrates with the following Google services:

We use Google Fonts (Syne, DM Sans) served from Google's CDN. Google may log your IP address when loading these fonts.

6. Children's privacy

RemindMe Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our service, please contact us and we will assist with remediation.

7. Data retention

Since we store no data on our servers, there is no data to retain or delete on our end. Your event data in localStorage persists until you clear your browser data or delete events manually within the app. Calendar events you created remain in your Google Calendar until you delete them.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

To exercise any right or ask a question, email privacy@remindmepro.app.

9. Security

Because we do not store your data, there is no central database to breach. Your data is as secure as your Google account and your own device. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of RemindMe Pro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
